How rankings work

Each format has a separate hockey board. Daily rankings use the best eligible official result for the selected Eastern date, from up to five ranked attempts. Unranked practice never appears here. Outside the Daily, each account's first 3 drafts started on a leaderboard each Eastern day are ranked (5 with DreamDraft Pro). Later drafts that day, and guest drafts, are practice and stay off the board. Year and Franchise boards show all pools by default; use the filter to compare one season or club. Each account or guest browser keeps its best eligible result per pool. Equal projected records rank by team grade, then scoring, playmaking, goaltending and discipline, and share a rank only when all of them match. Choose Compare on any two rows to see their rosters side by side.

Each board opens on This month: every account’s best ranked roster finished in the current Eastern calendar month, from November 2026. Month boards count drafts started as ranked plays and list signed-in accounts only. All-time keeps every eligible roster, including guest entries published earlier. At 12:30 AM Eastern on the 1st, each board’s leader for the month that just ended is crowned its champion, with one per season on Year boards and one per team on Franchise boards. Managers tied on every number share the title, and titles show on the board and the champion’s profile.

The Daily’s month board adds up each account’s ranked Daily result for every day of the month, and its All-time board adds them up from October 29, 2026. Today shows a single day and its rosters. More total wins rank higher, then fewer total losses, then the higher total team grade, then scoring, playmaking, goaltending and discipline. If every total matches, they share a rank and are listed by who finished their last Daily first.

Guests appear as Anonymous or a screened name. Every ranked entry has a public eight-player roster with its real season statistics. Private draft identifiers and sign-in details are not public.

Data sources and coverage

Season data: Official NHL club statistics and regular-season team summary. No open-data license is asserted. Public NHL statistical facts only; no photographs or logos are included.

  • Qualifying NHL regular-season club stints from 1917-18 through the completed 2025-26 season. The canceled 2004-05 season has no player records.
  • Skaters require ten games. Six average ice minutes are required when ice time was recorded; older unrecorded ice time remains unknown. Goalies require five games and recorded goals-against average.
  • Skater counting statistics are shown as season totals for the selected club. Goalie save percentage and goals-against average preserve official precision; wins and shutouts are season totals. Unrecorded statistics, including early save percentage and ice time, remain null.
  • Player identities, club-season identities, franchise lineage and season wins, losses, ties and overtime losses come from official NHL responses. Ties remain separate from overtime losses. Relocated and expansion clubs retain official franchise identities.
  • Stanley Cup Draft selects NHL champion club-seasons and uses their regular-season player statistics. The 1925 Victoria Cougars were not an NHL club and are excluded. No Cup was awarded in 1919 or 2005. Projected 84-game seasons are game estimates.

Frequently asked questions

What does the projected record mean?

The projected record estimates wins and losses across an 84-game season from your selected player-seasons. Losses include overtime and shootout losses. It describes a DreamDraft game result.

Why is a completed roster missing?

Each board has eligibility rules for its format and pool. Unfinished rosters and unranked practice stay off the leaderboard. Read the rules beside the board.
