How rankings work

Each format has a separate football board. Daily rankings use the best eligible official result for the selected Eastern date, from up to five ranked attempts. Unranked practice never appears here. Outside the Daily, each account's first 3 drafts started on a leaderboard each Eastern day are ranked (5 with DreamDraft Pro). Later drafts that day, and guest drafts, are practice and stay off the board. Year and Franchise boards show all pools by default. Use the filter to compare one season or team. Each account or guest browser keeps its best eligible result per pool. More wins rank higher. Equal records rank by team rating, then offense, defense and kicking, and share a rank only when all of them match.

Each board opens on This month: every account’s best ranked roster finished in the current Eastern calendar month, from November 2026. Month boards count drafts started as ranked plays and list signed-in accounts only. All-time keeps every eligible roster, including guest entries published earlier. At 12:30 AM Eastern on the 1st, each board’s leader for the month that just ended is crowned its champion, with one per season on Year boards and one per team on Franchise boards. Managers tied on every number share the title, and titles show on the board and the champion’s profile.

The Daily’s month board adds up each account’s ranked Daily result for every day of the month, and its All-time board adds them up from October 29, 2026. Today shows a single day and its rosters. More total wins rank higher, then fewer total losses, then the higher total team rating, then offense, defense and kicking. If every total matches, they share a rank and are listed by who finished their last Daily first.

Guests appear as Anonymous or a screened name. Every ranked entry has a public eight-spot roster with its real season statistics. Private draft identifiers and sign-in details are not public.

Data sources and coverage

Seasons from 1999 on use nflverse data (CC BY 4.0). Earlier player statistics use Pro-Football-Reference game logs and NFL.com career kicking tables captured in public datasets. Earlier team records use FiveThirtyEight's NFL game history. DreamDraft is not affiliated with the NFL, Pro-Football-Reference or Sports Reference.

  • Regular season only.
  • Quarterbacks need 100 pass attempts, or 60 if they led the team in attempts, running backs and fullbacks 50 carries plus receptions, wide receivers and ends 15 receptions and tight ends 10 receptions for the team that season.
  • From 1999, each player keeps the position nflverse lists most often for that team that season. Earlier positions come from Pro-Football-Reference. Fullbacks count as running backs. Ends from the early seasons can fill wide receiver or tight end.
  • A team defense is rated from regular-season points allowed per game against that season's league average and ranked within its league. AFL defenses from 1960 to 1969 are compared with the AFL.
  • Super Bowl winners from the 1966 season on. Earlier NFL and AFL champions are not marked yet.

Frequently asked questions

How are records ranked?

More wins rank higher. Equal records rank by team rating, then offense, defense and kicking. Two rosters share a rank only when all of those numbers match, and the one that finished first is listed first.

Why is a completed roster missing?

Each board has eligibility rules for its format and pool. Unfinished rosters and unranked practice stay off the leaderboard. Read the rules beside the board.
